Über das Buddhistische Kloster Projekt Berlin
Der Ehrwürdige Piyadhammo ist buddhistischer Mönch. Anfang Januar ist er nach Berlin zurückgekehrt. Nach vielen Lehrjahren in den Klöstern Asiens und Amerikas hat er sich entschlossen, nun endlich auch die Lehren des Buddha in seiner Heimatstadt zu lehren. Der Ehrwürdige steht in der Theravada Tradition Thailands und hat im Waldkloster Wat Pahnanachat von Ajahn Chah sein Mönchsleben begonnen. Er vermittelt die ursprüngliche Form des Buddhismus. Alle an der Buddhalehre interessierten Menschen unterrichtet er qualifiziert und kompetent über die Schriften des Pali-Kanon, also den aufgezeichneten Lehrreden des Buddha und in Meditation wie es sonst kaum jemand in Deutschland vermag. Er ist ein großer Schatz für Berlin und für Deutschland. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen!

Der 16. Gyalwa Karmapa hat diese grundlegende Meditation speziell für den Westen gegeben. Sie ist sehr gut geeignet, um die Diamantweg-Praxis kennen zu lernen. Man sieht in der Meditation Karmapa nicht als ein äußeres körperliches Wesen, sondern als Spiegel für die eigene, jedem Wesen innewohnenden Buddha-Natur. Durch die Vergegenwärtigung identifiziert man sich mit seinen Qualitäten.

Bei uns finden auch etwa monatlich Vortraege zu verschiedenen Themen wie Karma, Uebertragung oder Buddhanatur usw. statt, Auf Wunsch werden Meditationen wie die vier grundlegenden Uebungen (Ngoendro) oder die Vorbereitung auf die Praxis des Phowa (Bewusstes Sterben) erklaert. Es gibt Fahrgemeinschaften zu ueberregionalen Kursen, wo qualifizierte Lamas auch die Buddhistische Zuflucht geben.

End of last year we founded a core group here in Cambridge that meets regularly at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre. After showing Al Gores film The Inconvinient Truth to 60 people within our own FWBO sangha we are now planning further events. The aim is in future to address as many Buddhists as possible in the Cambridge area. We want especially to emphasize the connection between our spiritual practise as Buddhists and our common concern for the environment, climate change and related pressing issues.
We are also networking and communicating with other groups and organisations in the Cambridge area who are active in the same areas (e.g. Cambridge Open Forum, and interfaith groups).

Cambridge Amaravati Group grew from a few local Buddhists, who were interested in the teachings from Amaravati Buddhist monastery near Hemel Hempstead.
They meet fortnightly on Sunday evenings in the members homes to meditate together for about one hour, with a brief Buddhist ceremony beforehand and tea and a chat afterwards. The type of meditation practiced is vipassana or insight meditation. The group functions as a way for meditators to come together, rather than as a taught class, and is open and sociable. Over the years people have joined who are interested in different forms of vipassana meditation, or in different Buddhist traditions altogether. The group also acts as a contact point for people interested in visiting Amaravati, to find out more directly about this sort of meditation and Buddhist way of life.

Our center is a lay Buddhist group, meditating under the spiritual guidance of H. H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thayé Dorjé and Lama Ole Nydahl. Our center belongs to a network of more than 600 Diamond Way Buddhist centers worldwide.
Our public meditations: Wednesdays and Fridays : 8:30 pm (introduction to newcomers and opening from 8pm)
The main practice
in our center is the 16th Karmapa meditation. It is a guided meditation and no specific experience of meditation is required to practice with us. Besides, beginners and newcomers are very welcome to join us at 8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, half an hour before our public meditation starts, in order to get an introduction to our center and practice.
All our meditations are totally free we only request regular practitioners to participate in our assocations expenses. Theres no need to book in advance neither to bring any particular clothes or cushion.

a)- Insegnamenti secondo il Canone Buddhista
Il Buddha ha usato frequentemente un metodo di \\\'insegnamento graduale\\\' per guidare i nuovi discepoli, dai principi base, attraverso insegnamenti sempre più avanzati, fino al raggiungimento delle Quattro Nobili Verità e alla piena realizzazione del Nirvana.
L\\\'insegnamento inizia con la pratica della generosità, che aiuta a cominciare il lungo processo di indebolimento delle tendenze abituali del neofita, fatte di attaccamento alle opinioni, ai desideri ed a modi di pensare.
La pace mentale che sorge da questo livello di auto-stima, fornisce le fondamenta per gli ulteriori progressi lungo il Sentiero.
Vengono proposte attività quali la meditazione sia guidata sia di Vipassana, come quella sull\\\'attenzione della respirazione ed altre. Lo scopo principale è abbassare le tensioni mentali ed emotive, e creare nuove energie fresce e rilassanti a beneficio di un maggiore benessere mente e corpo.
b)- Insegnamenti di altre discipline
Nella coerenza di contribuire allo studio, ricerca e sviluppo del Benessere mente&corpo, verranno effettuati seminari ed incontri di varie discipline complementari al sentiero spirituale del Centro.
Tra esse si vuole evidenziare il metodo giapponese Reiki di Mikao Usui, quello tantrico tibetano del Chag Wang Kum Kye, Hata Yoga, la meditazione d\\\'Autoguarigione tantrica tibetana Ngal So di Lama Gangchen Rinpoche.
Saranno proposti incontri di Costellazioni Familiari (metodo ADAT), Terapia del colore (mandala) e Musicoterapia (campane tibetane e mantra).
Corsi di riflessologia plantare e di Shiatsu con maestri qualificati.
