Drolma Center is dedicated to helping people in Southeast Florida find peace in their busy lives. We offer Buddha’s timeless teachings in a simple, practical manner that can help us solve our problems and find happiness within. The classes taught at the Center are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path.

Drolma Buddhist Center offers a full schedule of meditation classes, pujas (chanted prayers), retreats and day courses at the main Center in Fort Lauderdale, as well as branch classes throughout South Florida.

Our main center is easy to get to and offers a beautiful quiet meditation room that can seat over 100. We also have a fully-stocked bookstore, including audio books, artwork, gift ideas, and a range of exquisitely-crafted Buddhist statues from Nepal. We also have a spacious yard that is colorful and secluded (gardeners welcome!), and has a Bodhi Tree (tree of enlightenment).

You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend the Center or to benefit from practices such as meditation.

Everyone is welcome!

Spiritual Director: Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
Notes and Events:

Dzogchen is an ancient Buddhist spiritual tradition developed in India and Tibet. In Dzogchen, the primordial enlightened state of being is seen not as something to be constructed or gained, but rather as our inherent nature and potential. A teacher of sufficient capacity is needed to explain, introduce and transmit the Dzogchen teachings. Practitioners of Dzogchen endeavor to develop awareness and integrate the teachings into their daily lives by discovering through practice their own inherent Primordial State.

Dzogchen cannot be counted as a religious or philosophical tradition, but is a non-intellectual knowledge, which the masters have transmitted beyond any limitations of school or sect. Because its meaning does not depend on cultural specifics, it can be understood and practiced in any spiritual context.

The Northern California Community organizes weekly group practices at the Dondrub Ling Center in Berkeley. Special events, practice explanations, and weekend workshops are held as well. These ongoing practices enable participants to develop and integrate the teaching into daily life and to support each other in practice. Anyone who has received or intends to receive transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche is welcome to participate and learn.

The Dzogchen Community West Coast developed in California following many visits by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, beginning in 1979. It is a non-profit organization that was established to help preserve the teachings of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu for the future, and to strengthen practice by working together. The West Coast Community is linked to the Dzogchen Community of America, Tsegyalgar, the original seat of the Dzogchen Community in North America, located in Conway Massachusetts; and Tsegyalgar West, in Baja Sur, Mexico.

There are also groups of committed practitioners in Washington, Oregon, New Mexico and southern California.

Guang Huan Mi Zong Buddhism, founded by Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi, contains the essence of all Buddhist teachings. Its Great Perfection Dharma is the direct lineage of the teaching of Shakyamuni Buddha and is the supreme level of the nine vehicles of Buddhism. With over 2,500 years’ history of exploration and development, it was transmitted through the centuries from master to disciple. Holy Master has simplified the different methods of spiritual practice perfected by the Buddha into one system of cultivation with nine levels culminating in enlightenment, and liberation from suffering.

Guang Huan Mi Zong Health Dharma focuses on establishing increasing levels of mental, physical, and spiritual health, energy, and vitality.

The higher levels of practice involve attaining increasingly deeper levels of mastery in order to benefit others and live a life rooted in the personal realization of Supreme Truth. Holy Ziguang Shang Shi teaches different cultivation methods according to different affinities, root capacity and karma.

Five World Buddhas Temple

The majestic Five World Buddhas Temple was established by Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi in the year 2010 in the city of Amsterdam, New York.

The Temple serves today as the site for Guang Huan Mi Zong Health Dharma classes that have made the timeless message of the Buddha and the profound healing effects of his Secret Dharma openly available for the first time in the West, and the venue for many important Buddhist ceremonies which lead to cultural exchanges between the East and West.
