Stammbach is a municipality in the district of Hof in Bavaria in Germany.
The forest monastery is a dwelling place for monks, novices and ordinands. Guests who want to participate in the monastic life and are willing to adapt to the routine and discipline are welcome as the monastic community sees fit.
The monastery is not some kind of spiritual hostel or guesthouse, nor a retreat centre, a seminar centre or a temple serving a particular cultural purpose.
The name “Muttodaya” means Liberated Heart in Pali, the language of early Buddhism. It is a poetic expression of our goal that we are trying to reach. The monks follow the standards of the forest tradition as we can still find it in the Theravada countries (Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia). It is not fixed on a specific lineage or a particular master. It should give an opportunity for those who are seriously interested in practising on the basis of the Dhamma-Vinaya.

The Myanmar Buddhist Association of Tennessee (MBAT) is a Theravada Buddhist association and temple that was founded in 2014 as a Tennessee nonprofit corporation. It is now led by the Ven. Ashin Kavinda (Ph.D).
The MBAT is dedicated to promoting mindfulness and understanding within the Buddhist community in Tennessee (both Burmese- and English-speaking) and the larger community of people who share an interest in Buddhism and mindfulness, regardless of faith.

Nalanda Institute was conceptualised in January 2006 in response to the needs of the Buddhist community to have an institution for proper, systematic and holistic learning of the Buddha-Dhamma in Malaysia. The then Spiritual Advisor to Nalanda Buddhist Society, Venerable Dr K Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thera gave his unequivocal support to the idea.
The Nalanda Institute was formally established in July 2007. Dr. Tan Ho Soon was appointed the Institute’s Founding Director by Nalanda Buddhist Society. Under its patronage, the Institute provides systematic Buddhist education and serves as a resource centre to the Buddhist community in Malaysia. Its primary focus is on Pāli and Buddhist Studies, Leadership & Management Training, Conferences, Learning Resource Centre and Buddhist Publications.
The Institute offers various courses in Buddhist and Pāli Studies leading to Certificate and Diploma levels, as well as short training courses to enhance leadership and management skills for Buddhist volunteers. All courses are freely available to the public in line with the Institute’s charitable objectives.
Besides its Centre in Selangor, the Institute’s courses have also been held in Kedah, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Terengganu, in collaboration with local Buddhist organizations. To date, more than 6,000 participants have benefited from the Institute’s courses, study tours and conferences.

Tracking the trail after 6years of organization:
It was year 2006, the 50th anniversary year of the great conversion by Dr. Ambedkar, we started our work. It was December of 2006, an excellent youth retreat was being lead by Dhammachari Subhuti. Amongst the participants of this youth retreat, an inspired young men and women’s group started to come together and in a year’s time they created the National Network of Buddhist youth.
History of last six years: It’s now six years, we are persistently trying to do our best to remain together and grow as human beings together. We struggled to do our best, raise money, organize programs, form teams, support individuals and so on. We organized National gatherings every year. We brought together youth from many different regions of India, and from all the economic backgrounds.
We lead hundreds of one or two day’s trainings for the development of basic life skills for youth. Many benefited and are still benefiting. We trained at least a dozen young men and women who are presently conducting trainings, they come together often to help improve the quality of their trainings and support each other.
The structure of the system: Beginner – any one visiting or attending our program is known as beginner. We welcome youth from all walks of life to participate in our gatherings. They are encouraged to learn what they can. We extend our hand to them for friendship and keep an open invitation to keep engaging with us for their own benefit.
Activists – when beginners show more interest in NNBY and start helping in our activities, organize 000events in their area, we initiate them as activists, we offer tem trainings in basic Buddhist teachings and practices, understanding the message of Dr. ambedkar and various modules are offered for their personal improvements.
Leader – When activists wants to deepen their learning and wants to learn through mentoring individuals, leading groups, creating and offering their own trainings we initiate them as leaders. Leaders need to go through a raining to be effective leaders; this training is for minimum two years.
Cadre – Cadre is an Ideal member of the Network, any leader aspiring to be cadre needs to go much tougher trainings, intensify his commitment to social transformation through the practice of Buddhism and understanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision. He/she would be able to work in tougher conditions and are able to lead on a large scale. Cadres are expected to continuously working on their own development and work in close connection with other Cadres.
International Associations: We are constantly connected with youth and youth organizations from other countries, East and West. We draw in various techniques, learning, methods of working with youth from Buddhist and various non Buddhist organizations who are working for the development of human values and welfare. We are also coordinating with various international organizations to create an international network for the learning and exchange of Buddhist Youth.
Small initiatives to take responsibilities in society: Running of the network itself is a large activity that benefit couple of thousand youth every year directly. Our members are also engaged in various smallish activities to help youth in various areas. We support youth to find appropriate professional courses, to resolve their emotional, psychological conflicts. We actively work to pass on information to youth that are not easily accessible for the employment opportunities and better options for higher education.

The Navodaya Buddhist Monastery was established in 1991. The site of land property of the Monastery was donated by Late Jugendra Chakma, former Vice-President of Nunsuri Village Council and also elder brother of Ven. Pragya Jyoti (Australia). We offer you an opportunity to read and learn about Buddhism in the Theravada tradition. Theravada (Pali: Thera=elders, vada=doctrine) or the "doctrine of the elders" represents the school of Buddhism that draws spiritual inspiration from the Pali Canon (or "Tripitaka") generally accepted by scholars as the oldest record of Buddha's teachings.
Imparting knowledge with a view toward developing and improving another's knowledge is Dhammadana in Buddhist terminology. The Buddha teaches us to appreciate the value of wisdom since it is the most valuable asset for a living being: hence, the need for us to develop our minds, as well as to help others to develop their knowledge.
There are two ways to achieve this end. One is by reading extensively on Buddha Dhamma. The other is by questioning that may invariably lead to discussion. It shall be our endeavour to provide satisfactory answers to such queries.

Ein Dor Buddhist Vipassana Meditation Center headed by the monk and teacher Ofer Adi, was established to promote Dharma in Israel. The center is situated at kibbutz Ein Dor at the foot of Mt. Tavor and provides training for people who are interested in learning about and practicing vipassana meditation. The center is open to new and experienced practitioners all year round. The Newman Society was founded to promote Dharma in Israel by means of the establishment and maintenance of a Buddhist Center for the practice and teaching of vipassana meditation, under the guidance of the venerable Ajarn Tong Sirimangalo (one of the best known teachers in Thailand) for as many practitioners as possible. Ajarn Ofer Adi,an Israeli monk and disciple of the venerable Ajarn Tong, is resident head monk and teacher at the Ein Dor center, devoting his time to guiding practitioners and teaching Buddhism. The society’s future aims include providing facilities and accommodation for monks and teachers from other Buddhist traditions. The Society operates in the same manner as the teaching of the practice at the center – on the basis of generosity and donation not for profit or benefit. Phra Ofer Adi is a monk who been practicing vipassana meditation for 16 years at Wat Lampang Wat Chom Tong in Thailand under the instruction of Ven. Ajarn Tong Sirimangalo. Phra Ofer taught for several years in Israel before becoming a monk in Thailand 6 years ago followed by several years as monk and teacher at a Buddhist temple near Frankfurt Germany. He is currently head monk at the Ein Dor center teaching in Israel as well as various places in the world.

General info: Meditators stay from one night to several years, and the centre can help long term meditators with visa extensions. Accommodation at the centre is in single or shared rooms. The centre has no electricity supply, and conditions are adequate but basic. Although this is a lay centre, often there are members of the Sangha undertaking personal retreats at Nilambe. The centre charges 400 Sri Lankan rupees per day (about GBP 2.15 sterling, USD 3.90 at June 2004 rates) to foreigners to cover accommodation and food. Sri Lankans may offer donations instead. The majority of resident meditators are westerners, but many Sri Lankans also use the centre (particularly around Poya days). Teaching is also available in English and Sinhala by the resident teacher, Upul. There is a good library of books and tapes in English and Sinhala. Make sure that you bring a flashlight (no electricity), an umbrella and warm clothes (cold at night). The centre provides bedsheets and pillows et cetera.

Nirodha City Centre, a Dhamma and Meditation teaching facility was inaugurated at a ceremony on Saturday, 20th February presided over by Ven Kirama Wimalajothi Nayaka Thero and Ven Olande Ananda Thero. The City Centre now located at No 44, Edirisinghe Road, Mirihana Nugegoda, is one of the key projects of the Nirodha Trust whose aim is to foster, preserve and spread the authentic teachings of the Buddha.
The programs that will be conducted at the Nirodha City Centre include guided meditation, Dhamma workshops, Sutta discussions, Dhammapada teachings, Day-Long retreats and yoga sessions.
The Spiritual Director and founder of the Nirodha Trust Dhammaruwan, is an experienced meditation teacher who has trained with Bhante Henepola Gunaratne and Joseph Goldstein in the USA.
At the inauguration ceremony, in a special message Joseph Goldstein reiterated the importance of centers such as the Nirodha City Centre, for providing opportunities for those in the city with busy work schedules to learn meditation in a place close to home. Venerable Wimalajoti welcomed the concept of the City Centre since he felt it would fill an existing void in Dhamma dissemination and learning meditation in Colombo.

OBJECTIVES OF ORGANIZATION:

- To establish Vocational Training Centre for providing technical skill on different trades.
- To raise awareness and sensitize the stakeholders to realize the barriers of disabled persons and to take initiatives for overcoming the same.
- To protect and preserve human rights specially women and child rights.
- To remove child labour & to improve the lives of children who are affected by conflict, deprivation, poverty providing education, healthcare and protection.
- To provide knowledge and awareness on health care and personal hygiene especially maternal and child health care.
- Prevention of HIV/AIDS and establishment of social dignity of people living with HIV/AIDS
- To empower the vulnerable women at grassroots level providing necessary training, motivation, right education including necessary technical and financial support as per felt need.
- To aware the target peoples as well as community people regarding the uses of safe water and sanitation that importance to social mobilization on health care.
- To promote self sufficiency of young people.To undertake environmental program to assist to maintain ecological balance and save bio-diversity.
- To increase family income through self-employment among the target groups encouraging them to undertake income generation activities.
- Media Development – Capacity building of Journalists.
- To establish good governance at local level to ensure transparency, accountability among the local institutions.
- To provide all possible cooperation to GO-NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.

Based in Udadumbara, Kandy, Sri Lanka, Nisala International Meditation Center is a non-profit organization that hosts Mindfulness Mediation retreats throughout the year for people from all over the world. Situated amidst the lush greenery overlooking the Knuckles mountains range, the Center is the perfect oasis to practice meditation and deep spiritual contemplation.
Acharin G. Wijenayake is the Chief Kammattanacharin (Meditation teacher) in the Nisala International Meditation Centre. He is based in Udadumbara, Kandy, Sri Lanka. He has been meditating for more than two decades in the Mindfulness and the Vipassana traditions in Sri Lanka & abroad. He employs a direct method of teaching to guide his students in their efforts to establish Right Mindfulness within their hearts. His teacher was the late Buddhist monk and the meditation master the Most Venerable Marathugoda Mahinda.

We are located in Durham, North Carolina and welcome anyone who is interested in learning and practicing Buddha’s teachings and philosophy to achieve their spiritual and personal goals. The temple community is guided under the leadership and patronage of the Most Venerable Yatiyana Wajirapala Thero. The cultural heritage of the temple stems from the Sri Lankan tradition of Theravada Buddhism.
