Peter and Nancy Cowham are the Directors of Four Winds. Both have a long association with Buddhist meditation and practice. Nancy was one of the early lay residents at Wat Buddha Dhamma after it was founded in 1978.
Peter spent five pansahs as a bhikkhu in NE Thailand between 1977 and 1983. His uppacchaya was Venerable Luang Por Chah of Wat Pah Pong. Peter was privileged to have practiced under Luang Por for he last five years of his effective teaching life before diabetes debilitated the famous Ajahn. Peter learnt to speak and read Thai and Lao and compiled translations of Luang Por\\\\\\\'s talks during the time he spent with him. A recent pilgrimage to visit Ajahn Chah\\\\\\\'s memorial at Wat Bah Pong has inspired Peter and Nancy to reconnect with their heritage and make available a retreat facility for Buddhist meditation and practice in the forest tradition of Thailand and Lao.
The developing facility is available for meditation and other related courses by appointment. Camping facilities and a meditation hall will be available once completed. Organizations wishing to utilize the centre should contact Four Winds by email on cde.fourwinds@gmail.com Meditation sessions are held regularly. Please phone or email for a current schedule.
