Das Linzer Zentrum wurde im Mai 1985 in der Linzer Altstadt am Graben 9 eröffnet.
Im Dezember 1983 war Lama Ole Nydahl in Linz und hielt einen Dharmavortrag im Bahnhof-Festsaal.
Das war der Anstoß für die weitere Entwicklung.
Der Sommerkurs in Füssen 1985 brachte uns auch mit den tibetischen Lamas unserer Übertragungslinie in Verbindung, die daraufhin bald nach Linz kamen. Im November 1991 übersiedelten wir in ein neues und größeres Zentrum in der Reuchlinstraße 53.
Nach einer kurzen Zeit in Linz Leonding ist unser Zentrum seit April 2003 nun in den repräsentativen Räumlichkeiten am Linzer Hauptplatz Nr. 15 untergebracht.
Ein weiteres Angebot unseres Zentrums ist das in gemeinsamer Aktivität entstandene Holzblock-Retreathaus, das wir - vom Fällen der Bäume bis zur Fertigstellung - selbst errichtet haben.
Inspiriert durch die Ratschläge unserer Lehrer, haben wir eine optimale und ruhige Stelle bei Freunden im Mühlviertel gefunden. Das Retreathaus bietet Platz für ein bis zwei Personen (Kontakt: Hans Pölzl 07267-8692).

While there are many Buddhist traditions active in the West, this center represents the more than 591 lay Diamond Way Buddhist centers of the Karma Kagyu school founded and directed by Lama Ole Nydahl. They are under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinlay Thaye Dorje. Diamond Way Buddhist centers have a democratic structure and function through unpaid, voluntary work on the basis of friendship and idealism. The members share the responsibility for guiding meditations, answering questions, and giving teachings.

Die Salzburger Gruppe der Karma Kagyü Linie entstand 1990.
2002 wurde ein neues Zentrum in der Linzergasse gefunden, das am 23. September 2003 von Lama Ole Nydahl im Rahmen eines Vortrages besucht und eingeweiht wurde.
Inzwischen kommen ca. 15 - 30 Leute zu den regelmäßigen Meditationsterminen im
buddhistischen Zentrum Salzburg.
Der gemeinnützige Verein bietet buddhistische Kurse, Meditationen und Vorträge, die direkt im Leben anwendbar sind.

The Buddhist Council of Wales was established to bring together in harmony the various Buddhist traditions practising in Wales. It endeavours to ensure that Buddhism, as one of the recognised faiths in Britain, is represented at government, civic and faith occasions in Wales. Representatives from the Council attend meetings of the Interfaith Council for Wales and the National Assembly for Wales Faith Communities Forum.
Representatives of member organisations meet twice a year in March and September. Organisations who send representatives to meetings are Full Members and have voting rights. Other organisations are welcome to be part of the Council as Associate Members without needing to send a representative to meetings.

The Buddhist Hospice Trust is an unaffiliated Buddhist organisation and a registered charity. The Trust exists to meet the needs of seriously ill, dying or bereaved Buddhists (and non-Buddhists in sympathy with its aims) for spiritual support and companionship. The Trust operates via a nationwide network of volunteers from all Buddhist schools and traditions, serving all who seek its support and help.
The Buddhist Hospice Trust acts as a bridge to hospices and providers of palliative care services for Buddhist organisations and individuals. It provides an a Buddhist advisory and consultative service on hospice and palliative care issues to the wider community, and on Buddhist perspectives on living and dying.

Founded in 1924 by Christmas Humphreys, is one of the oldest Buddhist societies in Europe.
The Object of the Society is to publish and make known the principles of Buddhism and to encourage the study and practice of those principles.
The Buddhist Society is open to members and non-members from 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday with classes in the evening and from 2pm to 5pm on Saturdays.
The Society holds lectures, classes and activities in the teachings of the Theravada, Mahayana, Zen, Pure Land and Tibetan Schools. Some are open to the public, including the ‘Introducing Buddhism’ class, which offers the newcomer an introduction to the whole field of Buddhism. There are also classes and lectures for members only; these include ‘The Fundamentals of Buddhism’; an Intermediate course and ‘Themes of the Great Way’, a course on Indian Mahayana. The annual one-week residential Summer School is available to members and non-members.

Über das Buddhistische Kloster Projekt Berlin
Der Ehrwürdige Piyadhammo ist buddhistischer Mönch. Anfang Januar ist er nach Berlin zurückgekehrt. Nach vielen Lehrjahren in den Klöstern Asiens und Amerikas hat er sich entschlossen, nun endlich auch die Lehren des Buddha in seiner Heimatstadt zu lehren. Der Ehrwürdige steht in der Theravada Tradition Thailands und hat im Waldkloster Wat Pahnanachat von Ajahn Chah sein Mönchsleben begonnen. Er vermittelt die ursprüngliche Form des Buddhismus. Alle an der Buddhalehre interessierten Menschen unterrichtet er qualifiziert und kompetent über die Schriften des Pali-Kanon, also den aufgezeichneten Lehrreden des Buddha und in Meditation wie es sonst kaum jemand in Deutschland vermag. Er ist ein großer Schatz für Berlin und für Deutschland. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen!

Der 16. Gyalwa Karmapa hat diese grundlegende Meditation speziell für den Westen gegeben. Sie ist sehr gut geeignet, um die Diamantweg-Praxis kennen zu lernen. Man sieht in der Meditation Karmapa nicht als ein äußeres körperliches Wesen, sondern als Spiegel für die eigene, jedem Wesen innewohnenden Buddha-Natur. Durch die Vergegenwärtigung identifiziert man sich mit seinen Qualitäten.

Bei uns finden auch etwa monatlich Vortraege zu verschiedenen Themen wie Karma, Uebertragung oder Buddhanatur usw. statt, Auf Wunsch werden Meditationen wie die vier grundlegenden Uebungen (Ngoendro) oder die Vorbereitung auf die Praxis des Phowa (Bewusstes Sterben) erklaert. Es gibt Fahrgemeinschaften zu ueberregionalen Kursen, wo qualifizierte Lamas auch die Buddhistische Zuflucht geben.

We teach and offer practice in the traditional Chinese Chan Buddhism, affiliated with the great monasteries Balin Chan Sí in Hebei and the Temple of the 4th Patriarch in Hubei, China.
Malmo Chan Buddhist Temple is a warm and wellcoming meetingplace and a place for practice and worship in the Chan Tradition of China.
It is affiliated with two monasteries in mainland China: Bailin Chan Sí in Hebei and The 4:th Patriarchs monastery in Hubei.
It\'s head is Venerable Grand Master Jing Hui, abott is Venerable Master Ming Hai and monitor is the Swedish Dharma Teacher Ming Bao.
We offer three meditation occasions a week, Dharma teachings and Buddhist ritual and social community.

End of last year we founded a core group here in Cambridge that meets regularly at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre. After showing Al Gores film The Inconvinient Truth to 60 people within our own FWBO sangha we are now planning further events. The aim is in future to address as many Buddhists as possible in the Cambridge area. We want especially to emphasize the connection between our spiritual practise as Buddhists and our common concern for the environment, climate change and related pressing issues.
We are also networking and communicating with other groups and organisations in the Cambridge area who are active in the same areas (e.g. Cambridge Open Forum, and interfaith groups).
