Aro Ling Bristol is a city centre home of the Aro gTér – a Vajrayana Buddhist lineage whose unusual characteristics make it singularly appropriate for many Westerners. 

The teachings of the Aro gTér descend from a lineage of enlightened women, beginning with Yeshé Tsogyel. She was the female Tantric Buddha, who, together with Padmasambhava, founded the Nyingma tradition of Buddhism.

Shambhala is an international community of practitioners of meditation in the Buddhist and Shambhala traditions. The Bristol and South West UK Shambhala Meditation Group offers meditation instruction for newcomers and advanced students, Buddhist and Shambhala teachings, and a place to meet for people who would like to open their hearts and minds.

The Bristol group meets weekly on a Wednesday evening.
